ROLE OF A BUYER'S AGENT

A buyer may enter into a written agreement with a real estate agent such as me, which provides that the agent will represent the buyer in locating property to buy. The agent is then known as the buyer’s agent.

Buyer agency is about fidelity; once the agency is created in writing and signed by both parties a fiduciary relationship then exists between the agent and buyer. I always tell buyers that the most important thing about this relationship is confidentiality.

As an agent, I only tell sellers what buyers instruct me to tell them. Once you have found your property I negotiate, in your behalf to obtain the best all around deal.
